PropStream AI Search: The Complete Guide + Prompt Library

PropStream AI Search is a search mode inside PropStream that lets you describe the properties you want in plain English, by typing or speaking. It translates your request into PropStream's standard Property Search filters, shows you exactly which filters it applied, and lets you edit them. It launched September 17, 2026, and is included with every PropStream plan.

How to turn on AI Search

Log in to PropStream and open Property Search.

Use the toggle beside the search bar to switch from Location Search to AI Search.

Type your request and press Enter or the AI Search button, or tap the microphone to speak.

Read how AI Search interpreted your request, answer any follow-up questions, and run the search.

Review the applied filters in the Search Filters panel. Edit, remove, or keep refining by chatting.

Switch back to Location Search with the same toggle anytime.
Type it or say it
Typing
Requests open a chat panel attached to the search bar. You can keep the conversation going after filters are applied, and closing the panel doesn't remove your filters. Chat history reappears when you expand the panel.
Voice
Tap the microphone and describe what you want. AI Search answers by voice. You can mute your mic or its voice replies separately, and expand the panel to read the full transcript.
It asks before it guesses
Ask for "distressed properties in Los Angeles" and AI Search will ask which kinds of distress you mean: pre-foreclosures, auctions, bank owned, vacant, tax delinquent, liens, bankruptcy, or divorce. If a city name exists in more than one state, it asks which one.
Pro tip
Name the lead list, the market, and one or two numbers (equity %, years owned) in your first message. You'll skip most follow-up questions.
Nothing hidden
Before running a search, AI Search summarizes how it read your request. After, it explains which filters it applied and why. Those filters land in the standard Search Filters panel, so you can check every one.
What AI Search won't do
It won't find properties a manual search can't. It uses PropStream's existing filters and data.
It doesn't replace Location Search, Map View, Saved Searches, exports, or manual filtering. Those all work as before.
Its history doesn't follow you to another device or browser.
Requests are capped at 160 words. Go over and AI Search asks you to shorten it, then gathers the rest through follow-up questions.
